Jane's Birthday Celebration at Pink Pineapple

It was a fun celebration for Jane's birthday last Wednesday. I was reflecting that 2 years ago I attended a birthday party for her Big #0 birthday (won't tell you the age cause you'd never believe it anyway :)

Still....I can't believe I have known Jane for over 2 years and have come to love and admire her as most people do that meet her. I love her ability to help others and her creativity. Cheers to you Jane.

The party was at Pink Pineapple Scrapbooks in Vista. A great little store that let's us gather and play and share. Jane was busy making her Purpose of Your Life, read about it on her blog. Art Takes A Village. I hope to finish mine soon.

I decided to be creative and bring a fun veggie tree and dip. I have done this at Christmas time and it had a big effect on party goers. Get a Styrofoam shape like for Christmas a cone, for this day a square. I glued it to a plate and glued a plastic container on the top for dip.

Gather your veggies in bite size chunks carrots, peppers, tomatoes, etc and skewer them on a tooth pick and stick them in a random pattern in the Styrofoam. Then take parsley and/or cilantro and "weave" the stems and leaves around the toothpicks to cover the styrofoam.

What do you think?

We had fun, laughed and checked out each other's projects.

Jane opened presents........

Then we had a yummy birthday cake. Cakes by Melanie are so great. Melanie is such a great baker. This was a Red Velvet cake and it was so beautiful and RED and yummy.

Friends, parties, creativity...what more can you ask for?

Happy Birthday Jane.........
